What u think prashant Tamang really deserve INDIAN IDOL 3 ????

It WAS Prashant Tamang, a sepoy in Kolkata Armed Police’s Special Force, who had the last laugh. He won the Indian Idol 3 contest, defeating Amit Paul in the finale of the over two-month-long talent hunt held in Delhi on Sunday.

Around 7 crore SMSes were received from people, mostly from the Northeast, voting for their favourite contestants, said the organisers.

The excitement for the event was hard to miss as over 50,000 spectators thronged the venue of the finale, the National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) Exhibition grounds at Okhla, carrying huge cutouts and posters of their favourite contestants.

A large group of students had come all the way from Darjeeling to see their local hero Prashant Tamang live in action. And they were not disappointed. “We arrived in Delhi only this morning. We could not let this opportunity to support Prashant go,” said Soham Wangdi, as his friends circulated posters of Tamang. Tamang stole the centrestage with his rendition of ‘Yeh Kali Kali Ankhen’ from the film ‘Baazigar’.

Amit Paul from Shillong, the other finalist, too, had his share of supporters. They, however, took Paul’s defeat in their stride. “I supported Amit Paul right from the beginning, but I guess the best man won,”

After being declared the winner, Tamang said in a voice choked with emotion: “I thank my mother, public, and the Bengal police for permitting me to participate in the show.”

The finale also saw performances by John Abraham, singers Mika and Sukhwinder Singh, and top 13 contestants.

Though the event was largely peaceful, there was some confusion over entry initially.

“Even though we have passes, the security refuses to let us in, they keep sending us from one gate to the other. There is lack of coordination,” said Ananya Parekh, an enthusiast.

In Kolkata. meanwhile, Tamang’s colleagues and bosses watched the show on a giant screen at Body Guard lines, and plan a grand celebration once he returns.

Women Smokers More Likely To Have Non-inflammatory Acne

Non-inflammatory acne means your face will have blocked pores, large white heads and small cysts - if you are a woman and you smoke you run a much greater risk of developing this type of acne, say researchers from the San Gallicano Dermatological Institute, Rome, Italy.

The scientists carried out a study involving 1,000 women. They found that 42% of women who smoke have non-inflammatory acne, while non-smoking women run a 10% chance. The researchers stress that the link is not certain, as other factors may be involved. However, it is well possible non-inflammatory acne might be another hazard for smokers.

The scientists decided to do the study on women because it seems that females are more susceptible to non-inflammatory acne (NIA) than men. 30% of the 1,000 women were smokers.

They also found that levels of vitamin E skin secretions among the smokers were significantly lower than the non-smokers'. Women who had had acne during their adolescence and smoked ran a four-fold chance of having NIA as adults compared to non-smoking women who had had acne during their teens

Chennai public transport towards public comfort

The Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC) is launching is new Volvo air conditioned buses in Chennai. when i was reading newspaper i saw this launch news, but i didn't thought much on how the bus will look like..because there was no pictures....

When i was driving towards my office i saw a 19G bus.which was similar to bus i looked at Bangalore, good to see bus of this kind in Chennai. i don't no whether this buses are available locally for public transports in Mumbai,Delhi,Kolkatta etc. But i saw this buses in Bangalore.

Bangalore has got 4 of this buses, but now in chennai 10 buses are running in routes 21G, A18, 70, and 19 G from the information that i came across. i saw two buses on road 21G and 19 G.

Before When friends were comparing Chennai and Bangalore they somehow compare the availability of Volvo bus in Bangalore, but now Chennai has more equipped Volvo buses. It has got cameras,LCD's for drivers to control doors of who is getting in and going out and also it is disabled friendly..AC is required in Chennai, the humidity is high in Chennai and people traveling long distance get tired of high temperature..i dont no about the cost of the travel, i think it will be nominal and affordable..and there will be more buses in coming months..
